The Challenge

Through a global programme with over 210+ new leaders in J&J’s Supply Chain division we built new skills in productivity, standardization, and innovation.

The team were spread across the world and needed a single exciting, unifying platform which would inspire them to become the leaders of tomorrow.

J&J aimed to boost engagment by using VR to reduce distractions and create a repeatable and compelling learning programme.

The Solution

Gemba built a Virtual Reality learning programme

Participants could learn-by-doing, anywhere and at any time

Gemba created learning content in partnership

With J&J and productivity and innovation leader Prof Frank Pillar

Gemba delivered an annual program of learning sessions

With activities, lectures, team building exercises and coaching – all through the power of VR

The Results

The Star Programme achieved a 95% satisfaction rating in the first 12 months and embedded powerful and practical skills in J&J’s Supply Chain Division.

The participants could demonstrate high level skills in creating Smart Product Models, crafting Customer-Centric Innovation, and using AI as a design factor in new product development.

Gemba and J&J boosted engagement by 75% with participants having the freedom and flexibility to work together on games and activities, and breakout into smaller groups for coaching sessions.

Lastly, travel costs were reduced by 50% by removing the need for a high number of in-person training sessions and allowing teams to connect from their home or work locations.
