Leader Profile

Professor Frank Piller

Frank Piller is Professor of Management and Head of the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management at RWTH Aachen University. Previously, he held positions at MIT and TU Munich. As Principal Investigator in the National Research Cluster “Internet of Production”, he is currently investigating decision making and business model transformation in the age of AI/ML, Industry 4.0, and industrial data ecosystems. He serves as a scientific advisor to Germany’s national Industry 4.0 policy. Frank frequently delivers training courses on achieving competitive advantage through innovation and technology and has advised many global Fortune500 companies such as LEGO, BMW, or Unilever.
